You’ve probably heard a little something about the field of Medical Aesthetics or have seen mention of products like Botox, Juvederm or Restylane. But, you may not know exactly what these products are, how they work or what they can do for you. In the field of Medical Aesthetics these products and others like them are used in procedures to provide you a unique beauty enhancement by smoothing wrinkles, correcting small facial imperfections or by giving your skin a supple lift.
Dermal Filler
This family of products help reverse the changes associated with aging. Because the goal is to return your skin to its original youthful state, dermal fillers provide you a natural appearance. Products like Restylane® and Juvederm® reduce or eliminate wrinkles, diminish the appearance of scars, enhance lips and replace soft-tissue volume loss. They directly stimulate collagen spindles to become more active and youthful and improve elasticity by their hydrophilic action.
In this gentle procedure, tiny amounts of filler are injected just below the surface of the skin to fill in lines, wrinkles and scars, and stimulate collagen. And, unlike face-lifts that stretch the skin, fillers add volume for a more natural youthful appearance. Fillers can also increase the fullness of the lips for a beautiful result. The most common areas treated are the smile lines around the nose and mouth, fine lines above the mouth, frown lines between the eyes and acne scars.
The results from temporary dermal fillers are instant and can last 6 - 12 months.
Use the Allergen Juvederm Visualizer to see how the results can work for you.
Botox Cosmetic
Botox is a simple, non-surgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Botox is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those frown lines between the brows, the horizontal lines on the forehead, and the smile lines around the eyes to form over time. It reacts by relaxing the muscles, eliminating frown and expression lines. One 20-minute treatment – a few tiny injections – and within days there’s a noticeable improvement which can last up to 4 months.

Latisse Eye Lash Lengthener
Latisse™ is a novel treatment for hypotrichosis (lack of hair growth) of the eyelashes. Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes. Latisse is the first and only FDA-approved, science-based treatment to enhance eyelash as measured by increases in length, thickness and darkness of eyelashes.
Available only through a doctor, Latisse is a once-daily prescription treatment applied to the base of the upper eyelashes with a sterile, single-use-pre-eye disposable applicator. You can expect to experience longer, fuller and darker eyelashes in as little as eight weeks, with full results in 16 weeks. To maintain effect, continued treatment with Latisse is required.
Prevage MD Skin Care
Prevage® MD is an innovative anti-aging treatment representing the next generation of topical antioxidants. Prevage MD contains the highest concentration (one percent) of idebenone, which is scientifically shown to be the most powerful antioxidant available in a skin care product today. Prevage MD helps correct the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and protects against environmental factors, including sun damage from UV light, air pollution and cigarette smoke.
Antioxidants such as idebenone protect skin cells by reducing the aging effects of free radicals. The antioxidants in Prevage MD anti-aging treatment act as a protective barrier against the elements by sequestering free radicals before they can bind to and damage the skin. Additionally, Prevage MD is powerful enough to undo some of the damage caused by free radicals for healthy, glowing skin. Prevage MD is available exclusively through your physician.
Spider Veins
Spider veins can be treated with sclerotherapy. Sclerotherapy is a simple procedure performed right at the spa. Veins are injected with an agent, which causes them to collapse and fade from view. The introduction of sclerosing agents that are mild enough to be used in small veins has made sclerotherapy predictable and relatively painless method for removing spider veins.

Chemical Peels
PCA Professional Products help reduce the depth of surface lines, smooth rough skin texture, treat skin discoloration and redness, and assist in clearing acne/blemished skin. The naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHA), retinol and trichloroacetic acid (TCA) found in PCA Professional Products loosen dead cells from the skin’s surface, revealing new, healthy cells. The result? Smooth, radiant, glowing skin. We will create a customized treatment plan that will address your personal skin care needs.
IPL Skin Treatments Using Photorejuvenation
Photopneumatic Therapy or IPL is a breakthrough aesthetic treatment that uses a revolutionary combination of pneumatic energy and broadband light. Our IPL treatment system is clinically proven and painless. IPL treatments are highly effective for the treatment of unwanted hair, pigment and unslightly veins.
With IPL, energy is concentrated in the unwanted targets, thereby destroying them without compromising surrounding normal tissue. A “pulling up” motion gently lifts a small amount of the treatment area into a specially designed hygienic treatment tip. Targets such as unwanted hair, pigments and unsightly veins are lifted and brought closer to the skin’s surface. When therapeutic light is applied, the light is converted to a gentle heat energy which is absorbed by the target. The energy applied is concentrated in the target to be destroyed, protecting the surrounding normal tissue. Skin is then instantly returned to its normal position and the treatment handpiece is moved onto the next treatment area.
